Horse Portraits
Horses have been a constant love throughout my life. From learning to ride on my very stubborn12hh Welsh Mountain pony and riding bareback and tack-less across fields when I was (much) younger - to just spending time in the company of horses and ponies and heading to every show and cross country event I can get to.
And now I love to paint them. I completely understand how our horses and ponies can be so important to us and part of the family and I love to capture those soft eyes and that beautiful coat on canvas.
A portrait of a beloved horse is a beautiful way to capture their essence and keep their memory alive. Your portrait can hang on your wall with pride forever, or gifted to your loved ones to be treasured for a long time to come.

THE PROCESS...
I have put together the process below to show how easy it is to book a commission with me...

STEP ONE: Get in touch! Book your Commission into my diary
Drop me a line on the contact form and we can get started!
STEP TWO: Find your favourite photos
The best photos are the ones that are of high quality
Try to take a photo at your horse's eye level...
STEP THREE: We can agree how your painting can be done!

NEXT STEP

Once I have sight of your photos, I'll confirm with you how I would like to create your painting.
Portrait Backgrounds are usually painted with a plain neutral colour which is complementary to the subject. In other subjects, additional background images will need to be discussed during this stage and may incur cost depending on the complexity, but this would be agreed up front. There are no hidden costs, don't worry.
We can also discuss when I intend to start working on your commission painting, depending on my waiting list and when you need the painting. I'll can also send you progress pictures if you would like.
I will usually post my completed picture on my Facebook page and on Instagram, but please let me know if it is a surprise for someone and I'll keep the finished picture a secret until you the portrait has been gifted.
