ABOUT JILL - Owner and Workshop Tutor

Welcome to Love Painting Cheshire! I'm thrilled to have you here and share a little bit about my journey and the inspiration behind our art classes.

My name is Jill, and I've always loved art. From a young age, I loved painting and drawing from a young age as my mum was just so brilliant at it - I wanted to be as good as she was.

I didn't paint or draw for a long time but as my son grew older and needed me less I decided to pick up my paints once again and see if I could remember how to do it!.  I couldn't... I was terrible.... but from that moment I was determined to learn. I sought out art classes and workshops, eager to expand my skills. However, I often found myself rather scared to go into the classes in case everyone else was really good!!

That's when the idea for Love Painting was born. I wanted to create a space where beginners like myself could blossom, free from judgment and expectations. A place where art classes were not just about technique, but about having fun, meeting new people learning interesting arty stuff!  Without the stuffiness of 'serious art classes...'.

I believe that art should be fun, engaging, and accessible to everyone. My classes are designed to be light-hearted and supportive, where you inadvertently learn lots of stuff too!  A place where you can explore different art mediums, discover your unique style, and paint without any pressure. Whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced artist looking to further develop your skills, we're here to guide and inspire you every step of the way.

But it's not just about the art; it's about the people you meet along the way

Let's explore, create, and connect and create art without any pressure. Find the joy that comes from learning a new hobby or skill, you never know, you might be the next Bob Ross or Van Gogh (please no ear removal in our workshop, it could get rather messy)
